Where to start on this saga… I made an appointment to have our AC unit serviced and checked about a month ago. The same day as the appointment, got a call the tech wouldn’t be able to make our house by the end of the day - was rescheduled for the next week. Fine, these things happen.
Tech shows up, very good knowledgeable guy. The furnace control board is shot and needs replacement. He stated as a work around to manually turn the blower fan on until a new board could be ordered and installed. Great! 2 or 3 days on the part and I’ll receive a call to book servicing.
Half a month later, no call. Call them up to see what’s wrong, seems they didn’t order the part. Wait 2 days for parts desk to confirm the status. Book an appointment for later in the week. No one shows up, no explanation, no heads up, no call. No so great! I call again the next day and they rebooked the following day with no heads up - good thing I can have someone available on such short notice to let them in.
Finally, got the board installed. Everything seems to work. Great! Except the blower fan constantly blows without turning off. Seems the dip switches are not configured correctly for my furnace installation. Throws an error code on start up that should have been visible before leaving.
In all, the first tech was great and helpful. Everything else was no so great - scheduling, getting answers, leaving a site without checking to see if it even works correctly.
Will not be a returning customer.

Being a tradesman myself I quickly recognized the professional team I was dealing with. They were able to accurately and quickly answer my questions and provide excellent and efficient options. We made a deal and a few days later our system was installed and worked very well. Thanks to the team at Boonstra. Great job guys.

Chris called to tell me he could come earlier which was excellent. He then proceeded to do a very careful and thorough diagnostic and fixed the part. He was excellent. He has been with the company for 8 years and I hope that they appreciate how good he is. Lovely young man and very skilled.

We’ve been Boonstra customers for years, and have always appreciated the service received. We are on an annual maintenance plan. The most recent booking created some issues. We had a window from 8-12 but no technician arrived until 1:30. When I called at noon, the reception indicated they could reschedule us or we could wait. Well we had waited 4 hours already and to go through that again and waste another day seemed ridiculous. I asked to speak with the operational manager, Brad, and reception said they would relay the message. Once the technician, Dallas, arrived, Brad called. I explained that I understood their booking system but that it had failed. Brad listened and provided a solution for future bookings. This reassured me that Boonstra will continue to provide good customer service. Dallas, the technician, was friendly, professional and thorough. He completed the work within an hour. In November when they return, Brad has already confirmed that the booking time will be honoured. As a customer, that is the service we expect and we will continue to have our furnace & AC serviced by Boonstra.

I have Boonstra come out to check our furnace/air conditioner every spring and fall. They have always been very kind, honest and even give good honest opinions. I've never had a bad experience with any of their technicians! This time we had Jimmy. As expected, very curious, polite and thorough.
Great job Boonstra! You've got me for life!!
