Pleased with new humidifier! Current one was installed by builder and was crap from day one. First time calling Boonstra. Saw excellent reviews. April and Leah immediately responded to my initial requests for information and a quote by phone. Two days later, Jimmy and Phil arrived on time, allowed me to watch them do the installation, unit was tested, and I received a maintenance lesson. I was impressed by their friendliness, neatness, caring attitude and quality installation. I know this was a small job, but the whole experience was awesome. Very much appreciated. Will definitely be using Boonstra again.

We were initially very excited to be getting a heat pump installed into our new (to us) house. Unfortunately, dealing with Boonstra seemed to be a headache from the minute we signed the sales contact. Our sales representative strongly encouraged we get the system installed before hydro one and the city were able to upgrade our panel- stating they would just hook it up later on. Our sales representative had told us our installation was scheduled for a the following Tuesday and we received an appointment confirmation email with a time frame. We put our dogs in a kennel for the day and took a day off work. When no one showed up in the time frame my husband called Boonstra only to be told someone was looking into and we would hear back. After waiting all day and multiples calls into Boonstra we learned they were only coming to take a peek at the property (10 minutes)- that they didn’t have the products in stock. We gave them the benefit of the doubt and figured scheduling things/ low stock happens. We got the system installed eventually, but then they were still missing a peice so we had to wait a couple weeks for them to come back. Hydro one came and upgraded our panel and we were finally able get the system hooked up. We quickly learned from the electrical inspector that the wrong wiring was used and it needed to be redone. Boonstra had to come back an additional day to fix this. Hoping the system was fine after this, we realized one of the heads was not connected. Boonstra had to return again and the technician explained to us who ever initially installed it left it unconnected with the wires hanging in our walls (of our kids bedroom) and it could have caused a fire. We were told a manager would be notified- yet we never heard from. After that was fixed, we still decided to give them the benefit of the doubt and enjoy our new $30,000 heat pump. Unfortunately we have now come to realize when we change the temperature in our living room, it turns off our living room tv. I called Boonstra and finally asked to speak to a manager. I explained the situation and my disappointment in the fact that we have had nothing but problems since the system was hooked up on April 7th. I was told my concerns would be escalated to a manager but I couldn’t speak to one then and if I don’t end up hearing back to “call again “. I have yet to hear from anyone. This was one of the first big investments since upgrading our new home, and I can’t help but feel like we can’t trust what has been provided to us.

I had issues with my furnace and Andrew was so efficient and knowledgeable. He got it running in less than 30 minutes.
Even booking the service was very simple and they provide real time tracking so you can have a better idea of when the technician will be there! All in all, 10/10 service :)

Boonstra appointment was scheduled between 8 and 12 and Mart came at approximately 9am. Really nice guy. Checked the furnace and explained throughly what was needed. Great Parts and Labour coverage. Great customer service. Thanks Mart!
An update! We had our furnace installed without an issue. We did have an issue with the new thermostat. Luke came out and fixed it in a very timely manner. He was very sympathetic to our dilemma and was very courteous.
