    I had a heat pump installed and the technicians decided to install my heat pump right in the middle of my walkway on the side of my house restricting me access to my backyard. I spoke to one of the managers who said they will fix the issue and move the heat pump closer to my gate on the side of the house where my previous a/c unit was (which would allow me enough room to walk around it to get to my backyard). I had two technicians come 2 weeks later to move the heat pump and the technicians were not informed of anything from manager or from the initial salesman that I spoke with and had numerous conversations with. There was clearly a lack of communication between all of the employees. The technicians that came advised that they would not be able to move the pump behind the gate and suggested I place the pump in the backyard or in front of the house, even though I was promised that it could be installed behind my gate and away from plain view without any problems. A month later, I had another technician come to finally take the time to pre plan and talk about how they were going to fix the issue (which should have been sorted out when they attended for the second appointment). Four appointments later they ended up moving the unit behind my gate which allowed me to have access to my backyard. It was not worth the stress dealing with this company. They wasted my time and I would not recommend their services. They seem to do things quick so they can move onto the next appointment scheduled instead of taking their time to do things properly the first time. I spent a lot of money for these upgrades and I was very disappointed with the whole installation and lack of communication/organization.

    Today we had our vents cleaned and furnace serviced, and I am quite happy with the service. Zack and Tyler were helpful with ensuring our vents were cleaned properly and were able to explain the service well and what the final cleaning was able to remove. We then had Chris S. service our furnace and was excellent at identifying areas we needed to consider replacing and truly helped us evaluate what our options look like. Chris was a great communicator, very passionate about his line of work and left us feeling confident with the information at hand. Thank you, Chris!

    I've never left a negative review, however the service I've received at Boonstra warrants a review, and I would like to warn potential customers. We had a tankless water heater installed end of February this year. We have had issue after issue. The two techs that installed the unit were unprofessional. They wore their muddy boots down to our finished basement and left mud all over my new rug. While they were installing, I could hear them yelling and swearing at each other from upstairs. They left and let us know the unit was leaking. They showed us how to shut it off when not in use, and said they would be back the next morning with a part to fix. Issue was fixed. Later that week, we went in the utility room and realized there was a leak in the pipe above the unit. Someone came to fix, and a week later we realized the pipe was still leaking, and we were loosing pressure when we turned the hot water on. Another tech came, fixed the leak and ordered a new part to fix the pressure issue. We're still having the pressure issue. The tech said we will never have the same pressure we had with a tank unit, which is disappointing. Two months later, we are outside and smell gas. We call Enbridge. Enbridge found a 2% gas leak from the exhaust vent of the tankless unit and found a 80ppm leak while the applicance is off. They also noted that pressure test tags were not present, meaning the installer did not test before turning on. Enbridge has escalated and will be dealing with Boonstra to find out the tech who installed as it was not done properly and was left unsafe. We just called Boonstra, and the receptionist was not empathetic and said that speaking to a supervisor would just make the fix take longer. At this point, we have no hot water and a Boonstra tech coming between 5-9 hours from now. I have NO confidence in Boonstra. I feel they have no experience handling tankless units. We have a newborn and toddler at home and have had gas leaking for almost 3 months. The gas is now disconnected for safety violations (see pictures attached). I left a message with the "concerns" department a few hours ago and have not heard back.

    Excellent service with Vincent M. today. He was professional and courteous. He serviced my Heating and Cooling systems as per our maintenance contract. Last time the tech tried to sell me a furnace but everything was good today. I have been with Boonstra for 12 years and get their yearly maintenance plan which is great. Service is faster and repairs are covered most times.

    The tech that visited our house was very polite and explained the problem and how he was fixing it very thoroughly. He was very kind to my sons and even let them look at his tools and involved my older son in what he was doing so he could learn. Our problem is solved now and I’m so grateful to Jimmy for fixing it and think he should be recognized for his stellar service!
