This was the best restaurant i have been in for ages. Everything surprised my expectations. I would personally recommend the Chipotle firecraker burger. It was amazing with and without ketchup, allowing you to taste every ingredient. Our waitresse was amazing her name is Christina and she was so nice explaining and taking note of what we wanted without even using a notepad and got it right. Th drinks were phenomenal and came in one of the best-looking cups I've seen in a long time. The athmosphere was perfect with the backround music just quiet enough and a game of football playing visible on all angles and add the wild west theme with a ACTUAL CAR in the celling and you have an amazing place. 10/10, and im definitely coming back asap.

My family and I went here this evening for dinner. We had an issue with the steak my husband ordered. The kitchen manager was absolutely amazing. We didn't ask for anything, just the steak cooked the proper way, but she went above and beyond. We will definitely be coming back. Also, our waiter was amazing.

I’m not sure if it’s a location thing but the location on upper james is very sub par.Only because my server was so nice I still tipped her 20 dollars after messing up my order twice with me and one person.The food just arrived very sloppy and not appealing to look at let alone eat. My make up order we went over it twice and not sure if she relayed this to the kitchen or if this falls on the kitchen and they just did what they wanted to do my steak came out bloody and runny when I asked for slightly pink.Wanted to give the benefit of the doubt for it being busy but was relatively empty. So I have a credit I use it for take out. I asked for a chicken sandwich with everything on side and a side of hot sauce. I get the soggiest buns that were literally wet and not edible plus all coleslaw and garnishing on the burger when I asked for nothing on it.

Since the moment we came inside of the restaurant we asked for our reservation and they told us that it wasn’t available, even though our phone number was in the system. They made us wait 20 minutes for a table. The manager was the worst, she was talking bad about us with other clients and with the staff of the restaurant, giving us looks and discriminating us because our first language is not English, she was covering her mouth when talking with other people in front of us and when we were already at the table she sent someone to tell us “how are you going to pay” like insinuating we don’t have the resources to pay just because we don’t speak English perfectly. The other staff was nice but that woman was the worst human being.

I know I've only gave a review without any details prior but I just had to update as my experience at Montana's on Upper James was absolutely amazing! A friend and I went here for dinner and the restaurant was bustling with many hungry patrons already inside. We were seated by a very nice host and was graced with a very pleasant smile of our server, Jessica. She tried her best to accommodate so many guests in the establishment including ourselves. Our food arrived and I will admit that there were a few things that were not up to par at first but Jessica and her manager did the utmost best to rectify the situation to the best of their ability. Kudos to the staff at this restaurant for making sure we were satisfied and we will be back! Keep up the good work😊
